I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (and shared them first in this post!), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also had them long enough that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a number of other aspects about them, which you’ll see me go more into detail about.

How do they perform over time?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They include a built-in arch bump that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is one of a kind. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a low-key version would also look great.
